My mission is to empower every patient who walks through the door to leave feeling amazing and brimming with confidence. However, there\’s a crucial element to consider with all treatment plans: timing.

You see, while I\’m committed to achieving the best outcomes for you, certain treatments do require a bit of downtime afterwards and it\’s important to take this into account. Many injectable treatments come with the risk of bruising, redness, and swelling. While these side effects are often minimal and hardly noticeable to others, we must factor in the possibility of downtime, especially when planning these procedures. Rest assured, I always prioritise honesty with my patients, and if I believe there isn\’t sufficient time to achieve your desired results before your big event or special occasion, I\’d rather do nothing than the wrong thing for you.

So, if you\’re contemplating treatment for an upcoming event, party, or specific day, please don\’t leave it until the last minute. The earlier we engage in a consultation, the better equipped I\’ll be to develop a bespoke treatment plan to optimise your results.

Timing for Various Treatments

While individual responses to treatments may vary, here\’s a general guideline for how long you should allow for each type of procedure:

  1. Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides: Typically, a course of three treatments is recommended with 2-4 weeks between each session. It takes about 3 months to see the full impact of these treatments, so plan for 4-5 months from the start to achieve optimal results.
  2. Anti-Wrinkle Injections: These injections require about 2 weeks to take full effect and approximately 4-6 weeks for optimum results. For addressing deeper lines, regular treatment every 3-4 months may be needed over a more extended period to achieve maximum results.
  3. Fillers: Allow 4-6 weeks for fillers to fully settle and deliver maximum results. We generally recommend scheduling treatments 6-8 weeks ahead, especially if you anticipate desiring additional treatment. This makes October/early November an ideal timeframe for Christmas preparations.Note: In some cases, we may gradually build up to your desired filler results, so consider this when planning.
  4. Chemical Peels: For chemical peels, a course of four treatments is recommended with 2 weeks between each session, totaling 6-8 weeks.
  5. Skin Conditions and Skincare Regimens: The duration can vary widely based on the severity of your skin concerns. Be prepared to need 3-9 months to see substantial improvements.

For example, if your wedding is scheduled for next April/May, the ideal time to consider skincare, skin boosters, and wrinkle treatments would be now. By planning ahead, you\’ll maximise your results and step into Spring 2024 radiating with confidence and feeling in control of your treatment plan and progression.

Don\’t let time slip away, as it often does. I hear time and time again that someone has been wanting to book in for treatment and they just kept putting it off, only to be disappointed that it is now too late to achieve their desired outcome (brides…I\’m looking at you!!).
